​Codeko Homes are a Semi-Independent supported living service Provider based in Bracknell for Adults with Mental Health and Learning Disability.
 
We are seeking for live-in Support Workers to join our friendly team. We currently have homes in Bracknell (Great Hollands, Janette's Park, Birch Hill, Wildridings) , Farnborough, Guildford and  Nottingham ( Beeston), where we support our clients gain independent living skills based in their communities.


​We currently offer a working pattern of 2 weeks on and 1 week off LIVE-IN basis.
 
Job Overview


  • To provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the Registered Manager or any nominated Deputies
  • To support and enable Service Users to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care unique to the Service User
  • To maintain skills at a current level, undertake such training and development as required from time-to-time to maintain and progress knowledge

Responsibilities and Duties Of The Role
  • Ensure Service Users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
  • To support Service Users with all aspects of their day to day living, enabling them to enjoy the best possible quality of life
  • Most of the employee's work will be alone with the Service User in their home
  • Compassion, good communication skills and a calm and caring manner are essential for this important role
  • Ensure Care Plans and other information about how to support Service Users are followed
  • Be responsible for informing the Registered Manager or Nominated Deputy of any changes in the needs of Service Users
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support

A Typical Day AT Codeko Homes

At Codeko homes we take pride in making a difference to the lives of adults with complex needs such as mental health conditions and learning disabilities. One day a support worker might be helping a client in a wheelchair to fly through the air on a zipwire; another might be helping a vulnerable Adult with Learning Disability achieve their goal of cooking dinner for themselves.  On a challenging day you could be supporting someone with Mental Illness to calm down and take their prescribed medication.
